Ive gone for an RP server Burlok... fancy a bit of indepth character development.
Chosen Order and so far not much actual rp... for one i just seem to be focusing on getting up levels as fast as possible, save the rp for later.

i'm currently playing on Burlok (rp) as Destruction: Guild - Da 'Ard Nobz (greenskins only).

looks like they'll be shutting down burlok soon due to.. due to.. no idea really, so my made up reason is.. to make bigga battles on uvva servers!

either way, servers having a big old barney and drama about something and goa have pretty much told us we're moving. best not to roll on burlok

not so much a server merges as a deletion of english rp servers.

all of my characters except the karak 8p ones are now on burlok. this'll be my 3rd move, if it goes ahead. im kind of hoping it does, the heavy imbalance on burlok has made it rubbish, fights generally take 2 seconds as 60 odd zerglings of orda steamroll our 7 man ragtag demoralised mob (lfhealers). i 'played' most nights this week and i did half of renown rank 32, which is a pitiful amount of points. i am number 3 to 8 renown earner on the server as a result (i got pics)... lol

probably got a year and a bit on this game, they may be going to try some reinvention with the release of the 2 other capitals we should've already had as a way to make the game newer. what a difference that will make.

gah, the rp servers are doomed, bring on the movings. im quite happy to rp next to 'loves2spooge' if it means i get to annoy someone into a rage at the same time as smushin stuntys.

Myself and a few friends went back onto Eight Peaks and levelled our Destruction guild 'Storm Lords'. We started recruiting and have between 35-50 active players and over 200 characters accross the tiers.

From what I understand Karak Eight Peaks EU has proven to be the most successful Destruction server world wide (we had the first Altdorf king kill).

If anyone still plays on eight peaks or is thinking about rerolling on there then you would be more than welcome to join us and take advantage of our guild level (recall scrolls, cool cloaks etc)

Just look for,

Thrakka, Squelchy, Snagga, Rufas, Copfas, Efensele, Autophagia or ask any stormlord to point you to your nearest Nob for an invite :)

Im now on Eltharion playing order, nearly every character at 20+ with 3 lvl 40's, i prefer open pvp. My destro char's are on karak-azgal after the server transfer.

I gave up on WAR a little while ago. Deleted my SH and Shaman (both incredibly broken classes even after the changes made to them) and rolled a Choppa. Got it to 40, got it nearly complete LV set and RR 45 and just got bored....really really bored.

You know, it's a real shame that the game panned out in the way it did. Mythic looked for a long time like they'd get a handle on interesting PvP and might also stick some fun PvE in there along the way.

That was not the case: RvR is a repetative zergfest for the most part once you hit tier 4, even if you roll on an open rvr server (and yes I have a 40 WH on Eltharian and the only real time you get 'open rvr' is if you find some poor sucker to gank from stealth). Small group pvp is almost non-existant due to RvR essentially being nothing more than a rank and gear grind.

The PvE is shite. Even the current top level PvE encounters are about as difficult as killing Gamon in Ogrimmar. The quests while levelling are just 'go here, kill x of these, now go here and kill x of these': Dull n'est pas? so much so that I levelled my Choppa while afk in IC in the monolith and scenarios rather than go through the horrible tier 3 and 4 PvE experience again.

Like I said, it's a shame. The game has a lot of potential and maybe, if EA don't just pull the plug on it, Mythic can turn it around in future content. Until then though I'd rather not keep giving them a tenner a month in the hope that happens.

Anyone played this recently? If so is there anything new or is it worth playing? I played it at release and it didn't grab me but I'm pottering about giving games I tossed to the side of the road in the past a second chance. Downloaded the trial and running about a bit and they seem to have made some changes to the starting area and spell effects (I think). I've seen a lot of people giving out shite about it about a year ago and wondering if they listened to players and changed any of the issues (e.g. PvE content, class balance or general point to the game).

They have updated the city siege and it's actually fun now, it just happens every damned day because teh took out the fortresses, which allowed for defense from capital raids.
