It's a pretty good game, especially the foundry which holds a lot of possibility. The actual gameplay is fun too. Am playing a Cleric and healing/proting is a lot more involving than most MMOs. They seem to be quickly fixing quite a few of the issues they've had so far (threat was majorly borked... that's fixed now, same with the graphic lag spikes and such) and I guess once that's done it needs some class balancing, but overall... recommended.

If anyone fancies trying it (for free no less! from HERE) then come roll with us and smite some erm...dragons, most likely in some dungeons. I got a cheapo chinese knock off on the cheap last summer, does the job for the kids but I am attracted to the nexus 7, just don't have much use for a tablet, maybe if I get sick of carrying books on the tram, no time soon

It sort of is. But it is not EA's first F2P title. We will see whether it's real pay-to-win, I doubt EA is now in a position to offend current subscribers more.
GW2 is due on 28th and that alone would have blown SW:TOR out of the water and is coming with an interesting B2P model of its own.

Yes, it's a nice summarization but the angle of the article is that subscription was wrong and F2P is the only way to run a MMO because of the many content locusts. Which is interestingly correct because many people burnt through content within less than two weeks and most of them have already "beaten" the game before the first subscription month was up.
