I am still having fun. Easily dwarfs my experience which I had in RIFT despite its shortcomings and lack of polish in many areas.

But GW2 is on the horizon this year, might check it out.

New Rig

It dident say in the manual...but i found it in the menu in the nvidia controll panel...It was set to TV1080 and i just changed it to Monitor1920 and then i suddenly culd change it to 59hz to 120hz^^
Think my dvi cable is regular and cant support 120hz or somthing...
Think i have a more modern one around somwhere...

Computer works as a dream otherwise^^

Never thought to see this game on Steam ever but since Stardock sold Impulse to Gamestop it seems former Impulse-only titles are coming to Steam now as well.

Now you might never have heard of this game and chances are that you are put off by the genre being classified as 4X RTS. But fear not, it is that type of RTS which doesn't rely on high APM and ELO ratings - the only other game coming to my mind with similar approach is Supreme Commander (prime not 2). Sessions can be lengthy and intense though and if you are looking for a game being over in under 20 minutes then this one will probably disappoint you: A single session depending on galaxy sizes can easily last couple of hours.

Anyways what you can expect is:

- full 4X gameplay
- evil pirate attacks!
- epic fleet battles with capital ships, frigates, starbases, turrets and minefields
- one of the most intuitive non-middleware UIs ever seen in a game
- did I say long sessions?
- 3 different factions with different strengths and weaknesses
- a real economy involving trade and a resource market
- a very good multi-tree research system
- modding friendliness
- another expansion in spring 2012
- highly detailed graphics (which given the time it was released is still impressive)

I've lost count of the hours spent in this game and multiplayer was always fun. Even four years later it hasn't lost its replay value. Oh, and it's been made by a company made of eight people only.
